Christmas snapshots

Hello everyone,

I don’t know about the rest of you, but after all the holiday hoopla, I’m in need of a long siesta.

And I can’t think why since we didn’t go anywhere or do anything special.

Perhaps this feeling of fatigue is due to the long hours spent in the kitchen whipping up everyone’s favorite dish.

Or maybe my lethargic state is due to the Christmas food coma that still lingers.

Nevertheless, I did want to share some Christmas snapshots with all of you.

Just because.

Enjoy!

When I grow up, I want to look just like this beautiful lady!

Because Santa comes in all sizes
Still trying to perfect the art of taking my own photo

XOXO,

    1. Jodi, you are the sweetest person on the planet! Thank you! I’m thrilled you like the photos! And I hope you had a wonderful holiday, lady! :)

  1. You took that photo yourself??? Bellissima, Bella!!
State of lethargy? I’m there, too. And that feeling that another year is almost gone and I STILL haven’t accomplished X, Y, Z.

    1. Jann, I did indeed take this photo–using the tips my niece, a pro at self portraits gave me! hee hee! Lady, the feeling that this year is almost gone and still projects are incomplete, is shared by me. At this point, I’m throwing in the towel and letting it go. What hasn’t been finished is going to have to stay unfinished until further notice. It’s either assume this attitude, or lose my mind. Thank you for your kind words. Your compliment has made my evening! :)

    1. Lady, I believe this was before the nap! You should see me after a nap–not a pretty sight. My eyes get puffy and my hair goes flat. Tragic, I tell you! Nevertheless, your sweet comment makes a woman feel good. Thank you! Happy New Year to you! :)

    1. Leah, thank you! Are you ready for the New Year? I’m totally over this one but will be honest and say I’m ready for a clean slate. I hope this will be a better year. The past two years have not been good ones. Hopefully, luck will change! :)

    1. Sweta, you’re as sweet as your name! Thank you! Santa makes an appearance in all shapes and forms here. Everywhere I looked, there was either a real of plastic one waving at me! :)

  2. Bella,
The snapshots are loverly! Who is that… Kurly Kardashian? I am certainly jealous of those eyelashes! Perfect skin, beautiful smile! I hope you had a wonderful holiday!

    1. Justl, thanks for making me smile! I’m blushing but beaming as a result of your kind words! Thank you so much! This curly mop of hair is a pain to maintain but I’m fortunate to not have too many bad days! My holiday was fine but I’ve become affected by this bout of laziness I just can’t shake. I’m working on it! :)

    1. Ariana, I’ll let you in on my secret: bronzer! It gives you a sun kissed glow! hee hee! Do you use it? I can’t live without mine. Happy New Year to you, lovely lady! :)

  3. Pero, Chica, te vez muy hermosa! Me encanta! Honestly, your smile is so radiant you would look spectacular in any photo. Love it. All your holiday pix are quite charming, girl!

    1. Monica, querida, muchas gracias! I read your comment and said to the Significant Other, Monica thinks I would look spectacular in any photo. And he said, “Tell Monica you take a thousand pictures before deciding to post just one!” Silly man! I’m thrilled you like the holiday captures, lady! They are scenes that caught my eye and I knew I had to share them with all of you! :)

    1. Kim, Roxy and I love you to the moon and back! And if you think I’m stunning, then I love you even more! hee hee! My Christmas was okay. Nothing to write home about, but nothing to complain about either. I wish I had been able to travel to visit my family, but it wasn’t possible. Hopefully next year. I’m keeping my fingers crossed! I wish you, Charlie, and Mr. Liverpool, a truly Happy New Year! Hugs and kisses for you from Roxy and me! :)

  4. Bella!!! What magic you exude, my dear!! With every post all year long, with every sparkle in your eyes and every sharing of your heart. Happy New year, angel girl. SoOo happy you are in my life!

    1. Brynne, I’m soooo happy to see your lovely comments again! I’ve missed you! Thank you for your kind, sweet words. By now, you know how much they mean to me. I’m also very happy to be able to call you a friend, lady. Gracias for your encouragement and support. Love you, friend! :)

  5. Oh Bella you look GORGEOUS! thank you for sharing your holiday delights! I, too, am in dire need of a break, that’s why I haven’t touched my blog in almost a week, which is fine by me!

    1. Laura, what I love most about you is your sweet nature! Thank you for always being such a sweetheart. Your compliments do a woman good. They really do! I’m glad you’re taking a much deserved break. I’m certain your hubs is delighted at having you all to himself! :)

    1. Savy, that is the most beautiful thing I’ve heard in a long time! I love, love, love it! Know that I’ve written your comment in my “quotes” book. I read these whenever I feel like my spirit needs to be lifted. Thank you! :)

  6. Good Golly, you do a MUCH better job photographing yourself than I do! Perhaps you could share some tips for the rest of us? Domer took the photo of me and the Sheltie, but no way can I change it up because I can’t get both me and the dog looking at the camera at the same time, ha! By the way, I’m pea-green with envy over your long, upturned eyelashes!!

    1. Debbie, you never fail to crack me up, woman! Want to guess what mascara I’m using on these upturned lashes? The Falsies you hate! hee hee! I chuckled out loud at your comment of not getting the sheltie and you to look at the camera at the same time. ha! Oh my goodness, if we didn’t have these moments of laughter, I don’t know what we’d do! hee hee! :)

    1. Cathy, your words do me proud, lady! Thank you! I like this blog theme as well. And the best part is that you can change it every season! :)

    1. Claudine, the really amateur photographer in me is grinning from ear to ear! Thank you! I’m delighted they’ve made you smile. It’s comments like yours that makes blogging such a wonderful thing to do! :)

  7. Oh look at all the shapes contained in one snap! Triangles with the trees, rectangles, squares, cylinders, circles in the tires…fantastic geometric display. What a choice shot! Takes a pro to pick a frame of symmetrical beauty like that. :) Happy happy New Year beautiful Bella!

    1. Zencherry, I am truly honored you saw the shapes! Your comment makes my amateur photographer alter ego proud! Thank you! I looked through the lens and said, wow! And I snapped! hee hee! Happy, happy New Year to you, lovely lady! :)

    1. Louciao, I’m feeling better, thank you! I think I forced myself into an improved state because I didn’t want to start the new year feeling this tired. Thank goodness I’ve been able to pull the feat off! Happy New Year to you! :)

  8. Hey chica, you tweaked your theme and I love it — nice job! Excellent job on the self portrait; the background color works well with the color of your eyes.

I feel the same way you do regarding the holidays — we didn’t go anywhere but I feel like I ran a marathon. No posts, no work, lots of cookies. Happy New Year!

    1. Cardiogirl, hey you! Aw, I’m so glad you like the new tweaked theme! Thank you! And I’m tickled pink by your sweet words on my self portrait! Isn’t it lovely that you noticed the background color and my eyes. You are a rarity among humans, lovely lady! Wishing you a Happy New Year! :)

  9. Great photo! I’ve given up on trying to get a better pic of myself and when I really look at the picture it looks nothing like the person I see in the mirror every day..You’re a beautiful talented woman, keep writing, posting the pictures and thanks for sharing them…Life is good.

    1. Eve, thank you for your beautiful words. They make me smile, lady! Really, why is it we look better in the mirror than we do in photos? Another one of life’s mysteries, I’m afraid. I echo your sentiments, sister, life is good. Especially when you have wonderful readers like you! :)
